Annie of ADOT holds AHPRA registration as well as national OT Driving assessor registration. National police clearances and the NT Ochre card.
ADOT has developed diverse skills that enable an holistic approach to interventions and service delivery over the years. Drawing on all skills to support the unique needs of her clients.
This includes training in PRPP to assist with understanding a persons occupational performances and develop appropriate interventions. The model of Explain Pain and the role of brain plasticity in achieving and overcoming functional impairments.
Occupational therapists are requested to complete a variety of assessments to ascertain levels of impairment, levels of current function and what therapy might assist in improved function; clarify supports and care needs, recommend appropriate equipment to support safety, function and independence for a person throughout their life.
Occupational therapists deliver person-centred therapy and interventions across the life span. This is done using evidence-based, individualised program development to achieve collaboratively set goals. The therapy and intervention is developed and implemented to support a person to succeed over time and to acquire skills and capacities.
Annie has had many years of working in multidisciplinary teams and brings that knowledge base to her practice. She works with other allied health services to assist in achievement of the best outcomes for all her clients.
